The next regular meeting of the Electra City Commission is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28 at 5:30 pm. Once the agenda has been formally posted it will be available here

City Commission meetings are held the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. April 14 is the next scheduled meeting date.

Library Book Sale
April 13th through April 17 and then April 20th through April 23, the Electra Library will be hosting the annual book sale. Books aren't the only items available. DVDs, Audio Books, and some other odds and ends (including 2 computers) are available. Come first and get in on the good items.

Please note that April 24th the Library will be closed so that the staff can dispose of the remaining items to Goodwill and to prepare for the summer programs.

Spring Clean-up Week Announced
The annual Spring Clean-up will begin Saturday April 18 through April 25.

During this week:
-The Convenience Center will be open continuously 9 am to 7 pm Monday through Saturday, including Tuesday and Wednesday, April 21 and 22.
-The Paper Pig will be here Saturday, April 25 to shred valuable papers from the residents to protect their identity. They will shredding on site in the Pilgrim Bank parking lot from 9 am to Noon.
-Main Street Downtown Clean-up will be held Saturday, April 25 beginning at 9 am. Dumpsters placed in the downtown area for the convenience of the downtown businesses. The Chamber will be open offering donuts and coffee to get the day started.

Main Street Annual Golf Tournament
Saturday, June 6, the Main Street Advisory Board will host the annual golf tournament at Crooked Creek Golf Course. Proceeds go toward funding projects in Electra's Downtown Historical District.

USDA Loan/Grant for Home Repairs
The USDA has a program for low-income owner occupants in rural areas to assist with home repairs using loans or grants. The objectives, eligibility requirements, and other information is available here.
